Course Overview

The security industry is one with diverse opportunities. By completing a Certificate II in Security Operations, you will open up many doors. This qualification reflects the role of a security officer, responsible for maintaining safety and security by patrolling, protecting or guarding property while unarmed, and screening entry, monitoring behaviour and removing persons from premises.

Any person wishing to gain employment within the Security Industry must hold a Security licence. To obtain this licence you must have first completed an approved training course. The Certificate II in Security Operations is the first course that you should complete. Alana Kaye’s security course is developed with industry and is trained by experts who have years of experience in the security industry. Courses are conducted approximately every two weeks in our Darwin and Gold Coast (Southport) locations.

Course Structure

This qualification is made up of 14 units of competency (subjects) of which all are core units (units you must complete as part of the qualification).

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply International students must be of 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Evidence of an IELTS score of 5.5 or above, or it's equivalent must be shown.
