Course Overview

The Graduate Certificate of Information Technology is designed for students from an IT background who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in an IT area (information technology, information systems, software engineering, computer science). The course includes subjects in programming and emerging technologies. The course also provides an IT elective to expand career options. This course prepares the student for the growing demand from business for graduates to be able to work with emerging technologies.

The Graduate Certificate of Information Technology is structured as follows:

Trimester One

  1. BUS709 Communication in Business
  2. ICT710 IT Governance and Emerging Technologies
  3. ICT711 Programming and Algorithms
  4. IT Elective

Students may choose from the following electives:

  1. ICT722 Information Security
  2. ICT723 Virtualisation and Cloud Computing
  3. ICT724 Intelligent systems
  4. ICT725 User Experience and Mobile Application Development

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Australian Bachelor degree (3 years) (AQF Level 7) or overseas equivalent in a cognate discipline with at least 55% average in their undergraduate degree.
Minimum Age to Apply KOI does not enrol students under 18 years of age.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Minimum overall of score 6.5 with no band less than 6.0
