The overall aim of the MIT(SM) is to provide students with a bridge between IT/IS and management. Basing the course of study on the fundamentals of information security strategy, networks, risk management, governance and ethics, a security management perspective will integrate the knowledge, skills, and techniques required to manage security challenges in organisations.
Furthermore, the soft skills required of managers will be integrated throughout as they are closely aligned to GHE’s graduate attributes encompassing knowledge-based professionalism, skilled communication, problem solving, critical and creative thinking, social responsibility. The course learning outcomes (CLOs) mirror this positioning.
There are no pre-requisites, for the units, however, students are required to attain 150 credit points before enrolling in Capstone units under Year 2 Semester 2.
