Course Overview

The Colorado Mesa University Master of Business Administration degree is a challenging program designed to prepare graduates for the ever-changing business world. The degree is awarded after successful completion of 36 semester hours of rigorous study and a business-related practicum project.

The program is designed to provide a broad background in business while allowing students to focus on various aspects of their study or areas specific to their career goals and business aspirations.

Students will acquire knowledge of management operations; an appreciation of the interrelationships involved in business; an understanding of the economic, political and social environment in which businesses function; accounting and financial practices; and leadership behavioral skills that are essential in a manager's role in the implementation of business decisions.

The MBA program provides an atmosphere conducive to the development of each student's ability to think in a creative manner and to effectively problem solve. The program makes extensive use of lectures, seminars, group projects, case studies and independent research.

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements "Transcript" refers to a course list, grade list, mark book or other document detailing classes and grades.
For students with college- level credits or a degree from the U.S.:
  • Submit an official transcript in English from each U.S. institution attended. A transcript is considered “official” only if imprinted with the issuing institution's official seal. Faxed or emailed transcripts are not acceptable.
For students with college- level credits or a degree from outside the U.S.:
  • If your university credits/degree are from an accredited institution outside of the U.S., the transcript(s) must be evaluated by a third party before Colorado Mesa University will review for possible transfer credits and/or recognize the foreign degree.
  • Colorado Mesa University recognizes and uses Spantran, ECE and WES for evaluation services or any service listed at www.naces.com/members.html. For students interested in the Nursing or Physician Assistant graduate programs, please contact the Office of International Student Admissions and Programs directly for eligibility and the foreign degree evaluation process.
  • Spantran is another NACES accredited service that offers discounted Evaluation Services.
  • Official evaluated transcripts and degree(s) from previous institutions will be evaluated on an individual basis after you have been accepted to Colorado Mesa University. Transfer credit cannot be guaranteed.
Funding Options
Domestic Funding Options

International students applying for in-person, F1 visa eligible programs must show sufficient funding to receive admission. This requirement is met by submitting a bank statement that shows sufficient liquid assets to cover one year of tuition and fees at full-time (generally 6 credits per semester for two semesters), plus other estimated costs outlined below. Tuition is assessed at the Out-of-State rate and varies by graduate program.

If you have more than one source of funding, you must submit a bank statement for each person/source. A financial bank statement document is only official if it is printed on organization letterhead with the amount clearly displayed.
