The purpose of the English for High School Preparation (EHSP) is to provide English language instruction to prepare international students for studies at Australian high schools. EHSP classes focus on the language skills required for High School. The course is designed to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in a high school setting.
The EHSP course is intended to provide EHSP students with the English skills they will need for a smooth transition into the secondary education system proper; it will provide students with an opportunity to make the adjustments need to survive the social and academic rigors of life at an Australian high school.
