Our Diploma of Information Technology has been designed for students taking the first step towards our bachelor degree, and professionals building their current IT knowledge and skills.

We help you prepare for a degree with targeted support and tuition. Over an extended 15-week semester, we’ll work with you to enhance your professional-communication and academic-writing skills.

You’ll also learn up-to-date skills and knowledge for a career in IT, including:

  • networking (CISCO CCENT(external link))
  • designing databases
  • writing computer programs in Python
  • connecting databases to dynamic websites
  • scheduling ICT development using Microsoft Project
  • using Linux (LPI(external link)).

Course Structure

To qualify for the award of Diploma of Information Technology, a total of 96 credit points (12 cp per unit) must be completed.

Applicants for this course will need to have met the academic requirements and prerequisites for this course outlined below.

  • Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent). Plus
Minimum Age to Apply Applicants must be aged 18 or over to be eligible to apply for this course.

IELTS Score (Minimum) IELTS (Academic module): Overall score of 5.5 (no band less than 5.0)
TOEFL-IBT Score (Minimum) TOEFL Internet: Overall score of 55. Section scores no less than:
Listening: 9
Speaking: 16

PTE Score (Minimum) Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score of 42-49 (no section score less than 40)
CAE Score (Minimum) University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 162. No individual band less than 154.
