Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have established specialised skills in a technical ICT function.

Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in specialist fields, working independently, as part of a team or leading deliverables with others. They may apply their skills across a wide range of industries, business functions and departments, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).

The skills required for these roles may include, but are not restricted to:

  • front end web development: designing dynamic and complex websites, user experience solutions and documents using extensible mark-up languages
  • back end web development: developing and maintaining website information architecture and data

This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge in a technical area of Information Technology, Website Development. At Mindroom Innovation, students will learn more than just codes, they will be able to understand all stages of website development. Students will learn about ReactJS, Python, PHP, HTML, JavaScript (JS), Cascade Style Sheets (CSS) and how to use different ranges of Content Management System (CMS). The outline of this course covers design, development, site performance, database integration to implementation and acceptance testing. The qualification has a strong common core ICT Diploma base. At Mindroom Innovation, students will work on their projects since day one. If the student does not have a project, the trainer will provide a specific project to be developed during the course.

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply
International Students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of course commencement
Domestic students must be at least 15 years of age.

Academic Entry Requirements
All students require a laptop computer for in-class studies
Have a sound knowledge of using a computer. This will be assessed during initial interviews and throughout the enrolment process, and if an issue is identified it will be raised with Mindroom Innovation management prior to course commencement.
Able to use MS office or similar software
Use any browser
As part of our enrolment process for this course, students will be asked to demonstrate sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to meet the mentioned above requirements.
