Core Units

  4. CHCECE042 Foster holistic early childhood learning, development and wellbeing

  6. CHCECE044 Facilitate compliance in an education and care service 
  7. CHCECE045 Foster positive and respectful interactions and behaviour in children 
  8. CHCECE046 Implement strategies for the inclusion of all children 
  9. CHCECE047 Analyse information to inform learning 
  10. CHCECE048 Plan and implement children’s education and care curriculum 
  11. CHCECE049 Embed environmental responsibility in service operations
  12. CHCECE050 Work in partnership with families to provide and promote appropriate education and care for children

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements

A minimum of an Australian High School Certificate or have graduated from high school in your country.

Additionally the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care requires a prerequisite of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Minimum Age to Apply Students must be at least 18 years if age at the time on enrollment. 
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) Bedford College requires a current minimum IELTS test score of 5.5 or equivalent.

Internship or Work Placements

Diploma students have a minimum of 280 mandatory practicum placement hours. Early Childhood Education and Care students will undertake their practicum placements in a registered Child Care Centre.
