Course Overview

The Diploma of Business (Enterprise) prepares you to transition into university and further studies in the Bachelor of Business (BBNS) and/or for transition to the business workforce at entry level.

It will give you a broad introduction to the industry and a range of skills relevant to working in the business sector, including foundation skills in:
  • accounting
  • management
  • marketing
  • economics
  • communications
  • information technology


Course Structure

To attain the Diploma of Business (Enterprise), students will be required to complete 96 credit points. (12 cp per unit)

  1. Information Systems for Business
  2. Management and Organisation Behaviour
  3. Integrated Business Challenge
  4. Business Statistics

SEMESTER 2

  1. Accounting for Decision Making
  2. Economic Principles
  3. Introduction to Marketing

Academic Entry Requirements
Applicants for this course will need to have met the academic requirements and prerequisites for this course outlined below:

  • Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) 
Minimum Age to Apply Applicants must be aged 18 or over to be eligible to apply for this course.
Language Requirement
English Language Requirements
You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved one of the following levels of English language proficiency:

IELTS (Academic module): Overall score of 5.5 (no band less than 5.0)
TOEFL Internet: Overall score of 55. Section scores no less than:
  • Listening: 9
  • Speaking: 16
  • Reading: 10
  • Writing: 18
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score of 42-49 (no section score less than 40)
University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 162. No individual band less than 154. 
English Language School in Sydney: completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) 1 with an A grade.
IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and CAE: These tests must be taken no more than two years prior to commencing your course. 
In some cases, we will accept test results from other methods of examination not listed above.
