This qualification reflects the role of individuals who diagnose, analyse, evaluate, design and modify vehicle systems in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

This qualification has 12 units of competency of which:

  • 1 is a core unit
  • 11 are elective units



Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Satisfactory completion of AUR40616 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis.
Minimum Age to Apply Be at least, 18 years of age at the time of enrolment. 
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) IELTS 5.5 overall with each band 5 or above, or equivalent.

  • CertIII LVM Tech + CertIV AMD + Dip Auto Tech
