Course Overview

This two-year Diploma in Digital Business Management Co-op program is ideal for students who want to pave the way for a successful career in business management in today’s diverse and changing world. Upon building valuable core competencies in business, graduates can seek roles in a variety of different fields, including marketing, finance, human resources and management.

Course Structure

1. Fundamentals of Business Communication

This module will help you develop and enhance your written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills, time management skills and presentation techniques, to ensure success in any business environment. You will also learn to use Microsoft Office to help you operate more efficiently and be more productive. Additionally, it Includes “Coaching & Feedback”, “Culture of Feedback”, “Storytelling & Communication” and “One-on-One Meetings” modules form “Manage the Salesforce Way” trail by Trailhead.

2. Project Management

The aim of this unit is to provide an understanding of different organizations, the influence of stakeholders and the relationship between businesses and the local, national and global environments. In this unit you will consider how different market structures shape the pricing and output decisions of businesses, as well as other aspects of their behavior.

3. Information Management

The aim of this unit is to show how communications, knowledge and information can be improved within an organization by making better use of IT systems.

4. Organizational Behaviour

This module aims to provide you with an understanding of individual and group behavior in organizations. You will examine current theories and their application in managing behavior in the workplace. You will also explore mechanisms for effective teamwork and the impact of technological innovations in organizational behavior.

5. Managing Financial Resources

This unit aims to give you an understanding of where and how to access sources of finance for a business and the skills necessary to use financial information for decision-making.

6. Business Environment

The aim of this unit is to provide an understanding of different organizations, the influence of stakeholders and the relationship between businesses and the local, national and global environments. In this unit you will consider how different market structures shape the pricing and output decisions of businesses, as well as other aspects of their behavior.

7. Research Project

In this module, you will develop skills to independently conduct research based on a research proposal relevant to the program and profession. You will also use the relevant research analysis tools and techniques to critically analyze and disseminate the data collected to make relevant recommendations, create reports and present your findings.

8. Operations Management in Business

This unit will provide you with an understanding of the role and importance of operations management (OM) in the efficient and effective production of goods and services.

9. Business Ethics

The aim of this unit is to introduce the concept of business ethics and to examine its relevance when considering business objectives and responsibilities.

10. Business Decision Making

The aim of this unit is to develop techniques for data gathering and storage and an understanding of the tools available to create and present useful information in order to make business decisions.

11. Introduction to Marketing and Branding

This module is designed to provide you with the skills to build a customer profile and analyze the digital market. The module will enable you to understand the principles of digital advertising, the key elements of branding and competitive analysis.

12. Introduction to Cybersecurity

This module is designed to give you basic knowledge of the cyber world. This module will enable you to understand the principles of cyberattacks, the darknet, hackers’ motivations and various advanced technologies.
