Course Overview

The Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching is your first step towards becoming an outstanding yoga teacher. The 12-month program is divided into practical and theory sessions giving you all the tools to teach yoga competently and authentically. You will learn to plan, organise and conduct yoga classes for groups or individuals, including essential methodology for teaching asana (postures), pranayama (breath), and meditation. The content includes Western and Yogic Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, and the important subject of Yoga Business amongst others.
The Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching course will prepare you to:

  • Recognize the essential principles of Yoga teaching.
  • Apply principles of western and eastern anatomy to Yoga teaching.

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Provide evidence of completing at least the equivalent of Australian Year 10.
Minimum Age to Apply Be at least 18 years of age.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) ALG requires an English proficiency level of IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent), with no individual band under 5.0.
English Language Requirements A prospective student does not need to provide evidence of an English test score with their application if one of the following applies:
  • Prospective student is a citizen and holds a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland.
  • Prospective student has completed at least 5 years’ study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO.
