Course Overview

This qualification is suitable for those who use well developed marketing and communication skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts.

Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others, however they typically report to more senior practitioners.


Course Structure

To attain BSB40820 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication the BSB – Business Services Training Package requires students to complete 12 units comprising 6 core and 6 elective units.

Academic Entry Requirements
Local students must have a completed Year 12 or the interstate equivalent.

International students must have a successful completion of 12 years of schooling or equivalent to the Australia Higher School Certificate.

Mature age students (21 years and over) may be admitted into this program without formal academic qualifications provided that they have sufficient literacy and numeracy requirements.

Students who have previously completed a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Australia do not need to provide school certificates.

Any overseas/international learner who scores below the minimum level in the tests mentioned above, must have undertaken, or agree to undertake, an English language programme (ELICOS) of at least 10 weeks’ duration.
OR 
Any overseas/international learner who has completed a certificate IV or above qualification in Australia in an English-medium institution, is deemed to have satisfied College English language proficiency requirements.  Proof of completion must be provided at the time of application.
OR 
Any on-shore learner who does not have an IELTS/TOEFL/ PTE Academic/Cambridge score, or Elicos certification, may satisfy College English language requirements, if at the time of their application, they can demonstrate a Core Skills Profile for Adults Level 3 or above, in the ACER English language, literacy and numeracy test.
