This qualification provides a pathway to work as a commercial cook in various kitchen settings such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias, and coffee shops.

Course Structure

KCBT learners progressing from SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Successfully completed the 25 units) will need to complete the following 8 units in this course.

  2. BSBDIV501 Manage diversity in the workplace 
  3. SITHKOP005 Coordinate cooking operations
  4. SITXCOM005 Manage conflict 
  5. SITXFIN003 Manage finances within a budget 
  6. SITXHRM003 Lead and manage people 
  7. SITXMGT001 Monitor work operations 
  8. SITXWHS003 Implement and monitor work health and safety practices

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Completed Year 11 (or equivalent)
Minimum Age to Apply Must be 18 years of age or over
Academic Entry Requirements Completion of KCBT SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
Language Requirement
English Language Requirements Minimum 5.0 IELTS or PTE 36 score and above or equivalent or KCBT placement test.

  • Commercial Cookery Package - 1.5 years
