Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
By undertaking the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) qualification you will develop the knowledge and skills to work as a support worker, specialising in the areas of ageing and home and community. You will be providing quality care and person centred support to the elderly in their homes or in community settings.

Course Structure

Certificate III in Individual Support requires successful completion of 13 units comprised of seven (7) core units and six (6) Elective Units.

Entry Requirement

Admission Requirements
Minimum Age to Apply Applicants must be 18 years old or over.
Academic Entry Requirements Have satisfactorily completed Year 11 or equivalent.

Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) IELTS score of 5.5 or  it's equivalent is required to show English Language proficiency.
