Course Overview

The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability Specialization) is a comprehensive program designed to prepare individuals for careers in aged care and disability support. Students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and assistance to elderly and disabled individuals in various settings, including residential care facilities, community support programs, and private homes.

The course covers a range of topics essential for supporting individuals with ageing or disability-related needs. These include understanding the physical and emotional needs of clients, providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities, implementing strategies to promote independence and well-being, and ensuring the safety and dignity of clients at all times.

Students also learn about effective communication techniques, cultural sensitivity, and ethical considerations in aged care and disability support. Practical training and work placements provide students with hands-on experience in real-world settings, allowing them to apply their skills under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are equipped with the necessary qualifications and skills to pursue employment as personal care assistants, aged care workers, disability support workers, or community care workers. They play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives, making a positive difference in the lives of others and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
