Course Overview

The Certificate III in Horticulture gives a qualification that provides a general vocational outcome in amenity horticulture.

Course Structure

This qualification consists of the following 16 units of competency; 5 core units and 11 elective units:

  2. AHCPCM302 Provide information on plants and their culture
  3. AHCPMG301 Control weeds
  4. AHCPMG302 Control plant pests, diseases and disorders
  5. AHCSOL303 Implement soil improvements for garden and turf area

  2. AHCLSC306 Implement a paving project
  3. AHCLSC304 Erect timber structures and features
  4. AHCNSY202 Care for nursery plants

Academic Entry Requirements

There are no training package entry requirements associated with this qualification however the following local entry requirements apply:

  • Basic knowledge of computing skills
  • Be able to satisfactorily participate in pre-enrolment interview

Minimum Age to Apply International students must be 18 years of age or above.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) International students must provide evidence of English language proficiency with a valid IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent.
