Course Overview

This program provides students with foundational knowledge and skills drawn from those disciplines which are essential in the management of a modern business – accounting, statistics and data management, business information systems and communications. It then focuses on the special challenges associated with conducting business across national borders, diverse and different cultures, different legal and regulatory environments, and different time zones, in the modern business environment.

Course Structure

The program structure is based on three levels with the following details:
  • Level 100 comprises 8 units of study, each having 10 credit points. A full-time student would complete this level over 3 trimesters/1 year.
  • Level 200 (as per Level 100).
  • Level 300 comprises 7 units of study, with 6 of these units having 10 credit points and the unit CAP301 having 20 credit points. A full-time student would complete this level over 3 trimesters/1 year.

Internship or Work Placements

Students enrolled in AIBI courses have the opportunity to undertake The Internship unit, a practical subject designed to be the start of life-long learning bridging formal studies and the workplace. The unit allows students to spend a minimum of 150 hours and maximum of 6 months working with an employer on a project related to their discipline of study.
