Course Structure

The Bachelor of Business (Accounting) is a three-year, full-time degree designed to prepare students for successful careers in accounting and finance. Accredited by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), and ACCA, the program ensures students meet professional accounting standards. The course comprises 24 units studied over 6 trimesters, with an optional summer trimester for accelerated progress or re-enrollment.

Students gain a strong foundation in accounting, finance, law, and business management, developing critical problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. The curriculum is tailored to address the evolving needs of the accounting profession, emphasizing emerging forms of capital in today’s Information Age.

Academic Entry Requirements

Direct entry to the course requires:

  • Minimum ATAR of 65 or a Higher School Certificate or overseas equivalent with 65% minimum. or;
  • Previous admission to or the subsequent completion of at least one semester of an AQF level 7 or equivalent course.
Language Requirement
IELTS Score (Minimum) For students from non-English speaking countries who apply onshore or directly from their home countries, the condition of admission is an IELTS (Academic) test with a minimum score of 6.0 with no sub-band score less than 5.5 or equivalent.
